About SIP
What is SIP?
SIP is a delicious, sugar-free electrolyte hydration mix with 11 essential vitamins and minerals for energy, mood, immunity, recovery, and sleep. No added sugars or artificial nasties.
What does SIP contain?
Natural flavouring, citric acid, pink Himalayan salt (sodium), potassium chloride, calcium lactate, magnesium glycinate, anti-caking agent, vitamin C, steviol extract (sweetener), zinc gluconate, vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12.
SIP is vegan, gluten-free, and naturally flavoured — no artificial sweeteners or colours
Is SIP vegan and gluten-free?
Yes, 100%.
Is SIP sugar-free?
Yes, sweetened with steviol extract (plant-based).
Does SIP contain caffeine?
No — it’s completely caffeine-free.
How many calories are in a sachet?
Between 4–8 calories per serving.

What are electrolytes and why do I need them?
Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium support hydration, nerve function, and muscle health. You lose them daily through sweat, activity, stress, or even thinking — topping them up keeps you feeling balanced.
What are the benefits of SIP?

How many should I drink per day?
Start with one sachet in 700–800ml water each morning. Add another if you’ve had a busy, sweaty, or dehydrated day. Always consult your healthcare provider if unsure.
Can I take SIP while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are special seasons when your body needs a little extra love and hydration. Staying well-hydrated helps support things like increased blood flow, amniotic fluid, and nourishing breast milk for your baby. SIP is here to help you feel good and keep your body topped up.
Every journey is unique though, so we always suggest chatting with your doctor or healthcare professional before adding anything new, including SIP, to your daily routine.
Is SIP suitable for kids?
Yes, ages 4+. Great for hydration, mood, and energy during school or sports.
Will SIP break my fast?
Each SIP sachet contains only 4–8 calories and zero sugar, keeping it well within most intermittent fasting and ketogenic limits. Many in our #SipCircle enjoy it on an empty stomach, but if you’re following a stricter fast, check your own guidelines to be sure
How quickly will I notice the effects of SIP
Some benefits, like better hydration and sharper focus, can be felt in as little as 15–30 minutes after taking it. Others, such as long-term nutritional support and adaptogenic balance, build gradually with consistent use over weeks.

Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in South Africa (for now).
How long does delivery take?
2–5 working days depending on location. You’ll get a tracking link.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Yes, if the order hasn’t been packed yet. Email us at sipsip@thesalf.com.
My order hasn’t arrived, what do I do?
Check your tracking link first. If delayed or marked delivered but not received, email sipsip@thesalf.com.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, on orders over R650.

How does SIPscription work?
With a SIPscription, your favourites are delivered automatically based on your selected frequency, no need to reorder.
You'll also enjoy 20% off every recurring order.
By SIPscribing, you authorise SIP (via our payment provider) to automatically charge your selected payment method according to your chosen frequency until cancelled.
How do I set up my SIPscription?
- Go to the Shop page and select your SIP product(s).
- Choose the SIPscription option.
- Select your delivery frequency (every 2 weeks, monthly, or every 2 months).
- Add to cart and checkout.
Can I change my SIPscription (products, flavours, or frequency)?
Yes, you can cancel your current SIPscription and create a new one.
Can I cancel my SIPscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime via your account, except within 14 days of your first order.
Please note:
- Cancellations must be made before your next billing date to avoid being charged.
- If your SIPscription included a discounted price, SIP may apply a reasonable cancellation fee in line with the Consumer Protection Act.
Can I pause my SIPscription?
Yes, simply log into your account and pause your subscription whenever you need.
When will I be billed?
You'll be charged based on your selected delivery frequency.
We may send you a reminder before your next order is processed.
How do I update my payment method?
Log into your account and update your payment details under subscriptions.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method is valid and has sufficient funds.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No, your SIPscription is flexible and can be managed at any time.

A few important notes
- SIP reserves the right to modify or discontinue SIPscription plans at any time.
- All SIPscription orders are subject to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Returns Policy.
- For any questions or changes, please contact SIP directly on sipsip@thesalf.com. Our payment provider cannot assist with subscription management.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return my order?
Yes — unopened boxes within 30 days in original packaging. No returns on opened sachets or used boxes. Email sipsip@thesalf.com with your order number to start the process.
Damaged or incorrect orders
Email us within 48 hours with a photo and order number. We’ll replace or refund. Opened sachets can’t be returned.
Refunds
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method. Bank processing times may vary.
